About Me
If this were an introduction face-to-face, I would extend my hand and tell you how lovely it is to meet you, probably asking you about your life or family or favorite hobby. Then I would share a little bit about myself and we would part ways, quite fond of one another and looking forward to the next time we cross paths.
Although I wish I could greet you properly, I am so glad you've come here! I hope that you may find this to be a safe, hope-filled, and encouraging place.
While I don't doubt you will learn a lot about me through my writing (probably a little more than you wanted...), here's a little introduction with pictures so you can know a little bit about the person sitting behind the keyboard.
This is my family. Aren't they precious? They are one of the Lord's most valuable gifts to me. We grew up in a little green house in Missouri, and these are my absolute favorite people to be with. We definitely have our faults, so if you're looking for easy and perfect you probably want to look elsewhere, but we love one another and I wouldn't trade them for the world. No doubt you will be reading about them, because they are my best friends and who I most love to share my adventures with!
This is a picture of coffee because I like it. A lot.

Here are some of my dearest friends. C.S. Lewis said this:
“I have no duty to be anyone's Friend and no man in the world has a duty to be mine. No claims, no shadow of necessity. Friendship is unnecessary, like philosophy, like art, like the universe itself (for God did not need to create). It has no survival value; rather it is one of those things which give value to survival."

Along with family, coffee, and friends, the outdoors and travel are two of my loves. I love to explore the world that the Lord has created and learn even more about who He is in the process.
Above all, I am striving to live this life following Jesus with my whole heart. I don't pretend to have it all together. I am constantly having to ask for do-overs, forgiveness, and grace. But slowly through all my failures He is teaching me how to love Him better.
So welcome! Welcome to a place to read about my mess ups and failures and embarrassing moments...it won't always be pretty. But I am learning and growing, and now we can learn and grow together. We can be confident in the Lord and His goodness. Even when things get difficult, may we never grow tired of being captivated by Him in all our seasons and chapters of life, even the hard ones or the ones we didn't ask for. Because in the end, it's not about my story or your story. It's about His story. And it's going to be a good one.
